Job role: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job type: full time

Salary: £56,000 - £60,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: UK-based

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and international partners.

Ensure the smooth delivery of services under the company’s active contracts.

Identify new market opportunities in the UK, Europe, and international markets.

Develop and foster partnerships with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Discuss client requirements based on services and packages.

Promote and expand new travel packages, including UK, Ireland, and Europe combination itineraries.

Coordinate with internal teams to align operational capacity with client and market demands.

Assist with the recruitment of new staff.

Negotiate contracts and manage commercial agreements to support sustainable growth.

Produce reports based on marketing strategies and sales.

Drive strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s reputation and market presence.

Support the implementation of themed group tours, corporate (MICE), and specialised travel programs.

Monitor industry trends to inform business development strategies and ensure competitive advantage.

Key Skills and experience required:

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a business development role within the travel, tourism, or related services industry.

Strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills

Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities

Strategic thinking and market analysis capabilities

Project and operations management proficiency

Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex itineraries

Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure

Knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, including MICE, leisure, and group travel

Digital literacy, including CRM systems and travel management software

Exposure to international markets, particularly in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia

Experience in negotiating with corporate clients, travel agencies, or Destination Management Companies (DMCs).
